The readings on the monitor indicate that there is a large safe zone between the moutains and air detection zone. Thankfully, jumping into the atmosphere saved them from detection and alerting the whole colony.

Damas Comms Officer: "All ships, match your speed and altitude with the Damas!"

*FOOOOM!!!*
One of the mountain peaks explodes from a laser blast, scattering dust and rubble.

The Damas turrets activate and begin targetting peaks that are blocking the way for ships.

Damas Captain: "We're likely a good distance from bug warships, best for everyone to just blast our way through."

The other ships in the fleet begin firing on the mountain peaks, scattering birds, dust and rubble everywhere as jets of blue tear through smoke and clouds.
