As the lights to the living room flicker to life it is revealed that the unknown object crashing down the stairs was nothing more than a childs toy, now blown in half and smoldering.

A'kto: "False alarm...just a toy" he says breathing a sigh of relief.

B'ates: "Did you hear that?" He asks cautiously, in response to the blaster fire coming from outside.

B'ates looks behind him, unsure of what to make of it. A'kto is of course already halfway up the staircase.

A'kto: "Yeah but we should check up here first."

B'ates complies making his way up behind him. The shadows cast from the well lit living room cast no further than the top of the landing. Blood dripping down the top steps, the door before them with a warped handle creaks open ominously.

Back outside, gold trimmed boots stomp through the muck. It was Sergeant T'olkien, hearing the shot he dashed out from the way he came in. Something spooked him, spooked him into action.
B'eq was not far behind him.

Sergeant T'olkien: "B'eq! Get those two out here NOW!" he barks.

They crouch beside the dropship they came down in. Slowly making their way to the back.

B'eq: "Sir, A'kto and B'ates are not responding...neither is the pilot, and that shot came from out here."

Sergeant T'olkien: "I've seen corpses like that before, long ago." he says nervously, like remembering a painful memory he had locked away in the back of his mind.

The two cover the access ramp to the ship, the crunching of bones and twisting shape at the very front was enough to see the Sergeant reel back alittle in horror. A black shapeless form streaking with blood which would occasionally spray out from whatever it was.
